Around the beginning of this millennium, as computer intrusions were gaining attention, an idea was conceived to share cyberthreat information from machine to machine. At Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne), around 2004, a team of cybersecurity specialists and software engineers designed and implemented an automated cyberthreat-sharing system called the Cyber Fed Model (CFM).[1]
